The Uganda e-Visa

Launched in 2016, the online visa for Uganda is designed to be fast and efficient in streamlining visa issuance. Travelers benefit from a flexible and straightforward online system, and the Ugandan authorities have centralized control of border crossings.

The Uganda e-Visa is available to travelers from over 200 countries who plan on visiting Uganda for transit or short-term stays for the following purposes:

  • Tourism
  • Transit
  • Medical treatment
  • Family visits
  • Conferences

You can complete the Uganda e-Visa application online in a matter of minutes.

Uganda e-Visa Online Application

The Uganda e-Visa application process is simple and involves:

  • An application form that must be filled out online
  • Uploading digital copies of relevant documents (i.e., a valid passport)
  • The payment of the application fee online

The approved visa is then sent to the applicant via email at the address they provided in the application form. Petitioners do not need to go to a Ugandan embassy or consulate in person at any stage.

Each visitor must fill out and submit their own Uganda e-Visa application. If you are traveling with your family, minors should complete their separate application too.

Most applicants can submit their Uganda online visa request in minutes, independently and with no effort. However, you can assist your family members with their application should they need help.
